The textile reuse and recycling industry employs 85 times more workers than landfills and incinerators do on a per-ton basis. We create well paying jobs in sales, management, administration, collections and warehouse packaging to supply a thriving secondhand clothing market. Additional jobs are created to sort and resell the clothing in the U.S. and around the world.
USAgain is a for-profit company employing over 130 people. We aim for growth and we aim for maximum impact. We achieve this by running a profitable "social enterprise", where social and environmental impact is built into the core of our business. We run a sustainable business that contributes to the local economy through job creation, buying local products and services and paying taxes.
Being profitable means that at the end of the day we are able to cover all our costs of operation, pay all our staff a living wage, and still have something left to invest in growth and new ventures. We think that being profitable is a great way to make sure an activity is sustainable and can thrive long term.
